Planning for Mock Exam

The title for the news programme is called news now. The programme will be on BBC One at 4:30 because that is a time when most teenagers are out of school and will have the TV on when they come home from school. The programme will be on for half an hour at a time as teenagers might get bored if the news is on for too long. The news will have two different segments because the first segment will be on the news in the world then the second segment will be on the teens local news as teens want to know what is going on around them than what is going on around the world. The news will incorporate news that teens feel relates to them such as weather of big games or music events. The structure will be that at the start the reports will talk about the problems in the world and the end will be the local news talking about what the teens could do outside of school and the problems in the local area. Presenters will be young adults around 20 years old so that the teens could feel they relate to the news. The programme will cover local weather, local areas to go out, problematic local news and world news such as war and economics. The logo is a N and a backwards N to resemble News Now. The colour scheme is red because it stands out and is a specific colour of economics and news. The news will contain social media links and will have a website for games areas and places to discuss the local news with teenagers who live near you. On the website you have seven days in advance of the weather when there are festivals.

Teens will be able interact by sending in comments through social media such as Facebook and Twitter. They will also be able to interact on the News Now website where they can talk with teens around where they live. The audience will be able to discuss local matters and news in the world such as their opinions on war.
